Ghana has crashed out of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations at the group stage after conceding two stoppage-time goals.
Despite initially leading 2-0 with penalties from Jordan Ayew, Mozambique’s late goals sent Ghana home for the second consecutive tournament, after minnows Comoros dumped them out two years ago.
With only two points in this year’s competition, Ghana faced a disappointing outcome.
In the other match in group B, Cape Verde and Egypt played a 2-2 draw, with both teams qualifying. Cape Verde secured the top spot in the group with 7 points.
