National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Enugu State Chapter, had applauded governor Peter Mbah “for his exceptional contributions to the progress and development of our beloved state.”
NYCN in a press statement signed by the state Chairman, Comrade Bartholomew Ebuka Okoh stated that “Governor Mbah’s unwavering commitment to the safety and security of Enugu’s residents is commendable, evident through strategic measures that significantly strengthen the state’s security architecture.
“The transformative overhaul of Enugu’s roads under Governor Mbah’s leadership redefines the landscape, enhancing overall mobility and connectivity for urban and rural dwellers.
“The ‘Operation Enugu Must Have Enough Water’ project reflects Governor Mbah’s dedication to ensuring every resident has access to clean and sufficient water, addressing a fundamental need for a thriving community.”
Comr. Okoh while noting the Governor’s commitment to youths development, also issued a vote of confidence on Mbah’s administration.
However, like Oliver twist, the youth body called on the Governor to give an ample consideration to the youth constituency while constituting the local government caretaker committee.
“A remarkable facet of Governor Mbah’s administration is his dedication to youth empowerment. The appointment of youths, including the first-ever youthful commissioner, marks a groundbreaking step towards integrating young leaders into decision-making processes.
“The NYCN proudly issues a vote of confidence in Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s administration, acknowledging the positive impact on the lives of Enugu residents, fostering an atmosphere of progress and prosperity.
“Acknowledging these strides, the NYCN appeals to Governor Mbah to enhance youth representation in governance. As the state looks towards establishing an upcoming caretaker committee, we respectfully urge the Governor to allocate 50-70 percent of committee slots to youth leaders, fostering a more inclusive and representative governance structure.
“The NYCN reiterates its commitment to collaborating with Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in shaping continued progress and prosperity for Enugu State. His leadership exemplifies dedication to service, anticipating further accomplishments that elevate the standard of living for all residents.
“As the NYCN stands in unity with Governor Mbah, we extend gratitude for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the well-being of Enugu’s citizens. We look forward to witnessing the continued transformation of Enugu State under Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s able guidance,” the statement reads.
