As the news about the tragic death of Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings; owners of Access Bank continues to send shockwaves across Nigeria, fresh information has revealed that the billionaire banker died alongside his wife and his two sons.

Report says the chopper transporting Wigwe crashed between Nevada and California on Friday night on his way to Las Vegas.

Quoting a top source, SaharaReporters said the billionaire banker left Lagos State, Nigeria, on Wednesday to watch the Super Bowl 58, an American football competition which will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

“Wigwe’s wife and two kids also died in the crash. He left Lagos on Wednesday on Wednesday to watch the U.S. Super Bowl.

“One Bimbo Ogunbanjo was also on the flight. Bimbo Ogunbanjo is the son of business man, Chris Ogunbanjo.”

US officials had said the helicopter crashed near Nipton on the edge of the Mojave Desert late on Friday evening

“We were made aware of a downed aircraft at approximately 10:12 p.m., on February 10, 2024. The scene of the crash was determined to be east of the 15-Freeway, near Halloran Springs Road,” the sheriff’s department said.

The FAA identified the helicopter as a Eurocopter EC 130.
