The Councillor of Obollo Afor ward, Udenu local government area of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Odo has bagged a doctorate degree from the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
Hon. Odo who is the Udenu Legislative Leader and Coordinating Leader of 260 Ward Councillors, completed the process for the award of the Doctorate Degree on Thursday, 29th February, 2024 when he defended his Thesis.
In his reaction, Odo while thanking God for seeing him through the rigours of academic sojourn, noted that it was a double celebration as it coincided with the completion of his first tenure as a Councillor and Legislative Leader.
He said the experience garnered will be deployed in his service to the people while thanking those that contributed in one way or the other for him to achieve the new height in his career.
Several dignitaries and stakeholders led by the local Government chairman, Hon. Gideon Tochukwu paid a congratulatory visit to rejoice with the newest PhD holder.
Several groups where also on hand, the Eldest man in Iheakpu Obollo, the Igwe, Umuada and youths of the community came out in their numbers to welcome their son.
