Veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu is dead.
He died at the age of 61
One of his former aides, Monday Diamond Ani who spoke to Journalist101 said the comic actor dead few minutes ago after fighting for his life for several hours in the Intensive Care Unit of Evercare hospital Lekki, Lagos state.
“My Boss lost the battle,” Ani said in a short message to our correspondent, adding that “he died few minutes ago after being in the ICU for several hours.”
Ibu, who hails from Nkanu West local government area of Enugu State has been battling ailments which resulted in the amputation of one of his legs in November, 2023.
