A former member of senate from Enugu state, Senator Chukwuka Utazi has officially joined the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Journalist101 recalls that Senator Utazi who represented Enugu North Senatorial district in the 8th and 9th Senate between 2015-2023 under the Peoples Democratic Party, resigned his membership of the PDP on November 5th, 2023.
In a resignation letter, Utazi said he left the party because the ideals that attracted him to the PDP in 1998 “have since receded into oblivion,” adding that he will “find another party that will afford me with ample opportunity to operate maximally and contribute to national development.”
However, on March 13th, 2024, Utazi formally registered as a member of the APC in his Nkpologu Ward, Uzo Uwani local government area.
Journalist101 gathered that the former senator was welcomed into the party by the chairman of the party in the area, Albert Aniebonam.
