The 15 students abducted at the Qur’anic school in Sokoto State have regained their freedom.
The students were kidnapped at Gidan Bakuso village in Gada Local Government Area while running into their rooms to escape attack on the community on March 9th, 2024.
Liman Abubakar, the proprietor of the school, had narrated how bandits invaded the town, shot one person, and abducted a woman before attacking the school.
The abducted students were reportedly rescued by troops of the Nigerian army.
Ahmed Rufai, Sokoto police spokesperson, confirmed to TheCable that the abducted students were rescued during military operations.
On Friday, the abducted students visited Ahmad Aliyu, governor of Sokoto, at the government house.
