He also accused them of jointly taking away the documents of the properties without his consent and refused to return same despite several demands.

Journalist101 also gathered that the defendants are in violation of a valid order of the court issued on the 19th day of December, 2023.

In the motion moved by B.N. Oneh Esq. for the Plaintiff, the court ordered; “That the Respondents, their agents, privies and all other persons in guise are hereby restrained from entering the premises of the applicant at No. 8 Agu Street, Emene, Enugu State and No. 1 Eneji Street, off Rehab Road, Emene, Enugu State pending determination of the Motion on Notice.

“The Respondents are also ordered to return all the property documents of the applicant.”

When contacted, Rev. Edeh told our correspondent that though the matter is in court and he’s restricted from speaking on them, said the entire episode is strange to him as he never thought something like this would be happening.

“I bought the said property legitimately and I have all the necessary documents. When the daughters of the man came to me, I demanded for proof that the documents they gave me were authorised. They presented an irrevocable power of attorney given to them by their father.

“It was after this that I went ahead with the transaction and proceeded to complete the transaction. I don’t know how their family misunderstanding could affect a legitimate business,” he said.

He also said he’s not in violation of any court order because his name was never mentioned in it and there’s no way he could have known.

The matter comes up tomorrow, 26th March, 2024 for hearing.
