Former Senator representing Enugu North Senatorial District, Senator Chukwuka Utazi, ex-minister, Ambassador  Fidelia Njeze  were officially received by the All Progressives Congress, after denouncing their membership in the People’s Democratic Party at the APC State Secretariat in Enugu.

The former senator, while stating reasons for his decision, emphasized that the PDP leadership has consistently overlooked the needs and concerns of the southern region and vowed to advocate for greater support as well as pledge his loyalty to the party.

In a remark, the former Minister, Fidelia Njeze, expressed her loyalty to the party, promising to work  for the common good of the party.

Welcoming  new members of the party, the APC Deputy Chairman South, Chief Emma Eneukwu, called on other individuals intending to register with the party to hasten up so as to create a formidable force in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.

Chief Eneukwu urged members of the party  to stick together and work for the victory of the party in the state and at the national level, noting that victory comes with determination and hard work.

Stressing the need for unity,  the APC Vice Chairman Southeast, Chief Ijeoma Arodiogbu, urged party faithfuls to remain steadfast  towards the common goal of advancing the party’s agenda, while also noting that the party will no longer tolerate indiscipline and anti-party activities.

Chief Arodiogbu commended the state party chairman, Chief Ugochukwu Agbala, for stabilizing the party in the state and called for unity among party members.

Speaking on the occasion, the state party leader and Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji stated President Tinubu’s commitment in transforming all regions and urged party members to remain supportive of the present administration and work for the growth and progress of the party

Earlier  in his remarks, the Enugu state APC Chairman, Chief Ugochukwu Agbala, emphasized the importance of transparency and integrity in governance, stating that the party will not tolerate any form of corruption or misconduct.

Agbala also encouraged local government party chairmen to actively engage with party members at the grass-roots level.

Other persons who joined the party include Chief Davidson Nnamani, Mrs. Princess Oloto, Barrister Mrs. Ada Ote,  Amb. Jonathan Eze, Barrister Umunna Ugwu, Ijegalu Felix, and members of the Ezi-obodo Amaechi dodo community.
