As a former governor and prominent figure in the PDP, his candidacy is likely to reshape the dynamics of the chairmanship contest.

With Aliyu’s participation, the PDP chairmanship race is expected to become even more fiercely contested as aspirants jostle for support and endorsements from party members and stakeholders nationwide.

He is expected to slug it out with a former Senate president, Dr Bukola Saraki and a former governor of Benue state, Senator Gabriel Suswam.
