A member of the Kano House of Assembly, Alhaji Halilu Ibrahim Kundila is dead.
The lawmaker who represented Shanono/Bagwai State constituency under the All Progressives Congress, APC, died on Saturday night according to SOLACEBASE.
Quoting a family source, the online platform said Hon. Kundila died at his residence late on April 6th, 2024.
He has been buried in accordance with his religious belief on Sunday morning at Kundila, Shanono local government area of Kano State.
Among those that attended the funeral prayer was the House of Representatives member, representing Shanono/Bagwai Hon. Yusuf Ahmad Badau.
Reacting to his demise, the deputy president of the Nigerian Senate, Barau Jibrin, said the late lawmaker will be remembered for his service to his constituents.
“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un.
“It is with profound sorrow that I received the news of the passing of Hon. Halilu Ibrahim Kundila, a dedicated member of the Kano State House of Assembly.
“Hon. Kundila’s commitment to serving his constituents in the Bagwai/Shanono Constituency and his contributions to our state will be remembered.”
Senator Jibrin who made the reaction via his X account also prayed to Allah to grant him eternal rest.
“May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give his family strength during this difficult time.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with them.”
The late lawmaker aged 59, is survived by four wives and 17 children.
