Anambra state joint Security force on Friday extended its manhunt for criminals attacking security in the state to Ogbaru forest.
Troops of the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Navy considerable firepower to the operation which completely routed the hoodlums from their hideouts in the forest.
During the operation, several camps were discovered as well as destroyed. Nine improvised explosive devices were successfully deactivated by police bomb squad.
The Commissioner of police, CP Aderemi Adeoye applauded the Military for its steadfastness in supporting the fight against criminality.
While acknowledging the DSS, NSCDC, NDLEA and other Vigilante Groups for their constant help in keeping Anambra safe, he warned cultists in the state to be aware for their days are numbered.
According to him, “We will not fold our hands and watch you destabilize the state in the name of cult rivalry. Your days are numbered”
