Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), has congratulated Nigerian Chess Master Tunde Onakoya for breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon.
Recall that Onokoya on Saturday at the Times Square in New York, surpassed the current record of 58 hours, setting a new record of 60 hours.
In a congratulatory message signed by its National Coordinator, CSP. Okuwobi Olabisi, POCACOV said the new record is worthy of emulation by the Nigerian youths as it demonstrates “resilience, innovation and creativity at the world stage.”
CSP Olabisi reminded the youths that as the world celebrates Innovation and Creativity on 21st April, cultism and criminality can’t bring you the fame Onokoya currently has in the world.
“POCACOV congratulates the Nigerian rave of the moment, Tunde Onakoya @Tunde_OD for setting a new world chess record and being exemplary to other Nigerian youth on resilience, innovation and creativity at the world centre stage.
“I wish to congratulate and identify with you today being 21st of April; which is the World Innovation and Creativity Day. And to our youths, this is a reminder that cultism and criminalities can’t attract both local and international accolades to anyone and as such, you must Say No to Cultism and Say Yes to Creativity and Innovation, and be a champion like Tunde Onakoya.”
