Hon. Stainless Nwodo has condemned in the strongest terms, the recent barbaric attack on Ugwujoro in Nimbo Community of Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State by suspected killer herdsmen.
This is even as the former lawmaker calls on citizens of Enugu to rally round the state governor, Dr. Peter Mbah to nip the dastardly act on the bud.
Nwodo who represented Igboetiti/Uzouwani federal constituency in the green chamber said “this incident has brought so much pain and grief to the indegens and and peaceful residents of this Community. We share in the sorrow of the affected families.
“The unwanted bloodshed and other violent activities by these marauding killer herdsmen is highly condemnable, unacceptable and must be stopped now.
“To this end, I call on Ndi Enugu to rally round our Governor who has demonstrated a great resolve in bringinh the perpetrators of this act to book.
“A support for governor Mbah will go a long way in helping the relevant security agencies to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators, as well as finding sustainable solutions to avoid future occurances.
Nwodo also called on the current lawmaker representing the area to continue from where he stopped in his call for community intelligence network.
“While I was in the house of Representatives, this was exactly what prompted me to negotiate being the vice chairman of National Security and intelligence with the aim of establishing Community Intelligence network in all the communities. A preventive approach to avoid loss of lives and properties.
“I urge the current representative to utilize the opportunities I have already created to secure the good people of IGBO-ETITI/ Uzo-uwani federal Constituency.
He also urged the people to be more vigilant and cooperative with the security agencies.
