The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC for Igboeze North/Udenu Federal Constituency in the 2023 general election, Dr. Oby Aji, has expressed shock over the death of Senator Ayogu Eze.
Ayogu Eze who represented Enugu North Senatorial Zone between 2007 to 2015 died on Thursday, 25th April, 2024.
Dr. Aji in a statement made available to JOURNALIST101, said the vacuum created by the demise of the member representing Enugu State in the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission can’t be filled.
“Ezike Oba has lost a political father and we can’t come to terms with the reality that senator is dead.
“He was a leader par excellence whose footprints in our political history can’t be forgotten in a hurry. The people of Igboeze North/Udenu are mourning and the pain is so severe. Senator was a leader ready to defend you at any circumstances without even knowing you.
“We will take solace in the fact that he lived a life worthy of emulation and we believe he’s in a better place,” Dr. Aji said.
She also prayed to good to give his family, friends and those he left behind the fortitude to bear this painful loss.
