The people of Nkerefi in Nkanu East local government area of Enugu State has congratulated Dr. Peter Mbah as he marks one year in Office as the governor of the coal city state.
This is even as the community appealed to the governor to consider their community in the upcoming council election.
In a statement signed by the national coordinator of ‘Ka Nkerefi Jee Council Chairman’, Chief Johnson Eze, the agrarian community said “records show that no Governor in the history of our dear Enugu State, matched your giant and great strides in office in just a period of 365 days.
“From the time you assumed office one year ago, your administration has delivered on many unprecedented accomplishments that can be traced to the ingenuity of your personality and the purposefulness of your people-targeted, results-driven governance.
“We are also never in doubt of your sound discernment, disruptive innovations, business unusual mantra and your strong believe in the principles of egalitarianism, inclusiveness and rotational leadership, especially to the marginalised.”
Chief Eze appealed to the governor to consider their plight and support ‘Ka Nkerefi Jee Chairman Nkanu-East L.G.Area 2024’ because their area has been greatly marginalised in the scheme of things, adding that they’re confident that other dividends of democracy will reach their town.
“We pray fervently that God shall endow you with great wisdom, strength and an excellent health of mind and body to do more. Amen,” the statement concluded.
