Senate President of the 10th National Assembly, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has stated he will retire home to spend time with his family.
Speaking at the CNG Conversion and Training Center’s opening in Abuja, Akpabio stated that his political career will come to an end upon retirement.
In order to enjoy his retirement, the Senate President stated that he wanted to put his family first and wished for good health.
In a video posted on YouTube by TVC, Akpabio indicated that he will not be seeking re-election or holding political office beyond the end of Tinubu’s presidency.
According to him, “The award-winning MC said the Senate president has been this, has been that, and that we don’t know where God takes him after this.
I’ll like to answer that after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I’ll be retiring home to my children and grandchildren. So I’m praying that God gives me good health so I can retire well to my home after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s tenure in the next seven years.”
