The management, staff and students of Government Technical College Enugu, have applauded Governor Peter Mbah over his commitment to give the college the needed facelift and position it to produce students that will be well equipped to compete in the ever changing world of technology.
The school in an appreciation letter signed by it’s principal, Comrade Sir Kris Isife, said the recent visit by the governor is very remarkable and has left an indelible mark.
“The presence of His Excellency, Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to the college was a significant honour to our College and we are grateful for the time he took to engage with our Management and Students.
“His commitment in understanding the needs and concerns of our college is truly commendable and unparalleled. His Excellency’s willingness to listen and offer supports in some critical areas, like Hostel reconstruction and giving our college a general face lift, is a testament to his dedication to the upliftment of Educational sector in our dear state, especially in the area of Science Technical and vocational Education.
“Your Excellency Sir, your visit has brought renewed hope and enthusiasm to the college Staff and Students, as they are inspired by your vision for a better future and a new tomorrow.
“Your Excellency Sir, your efforts are deeply appreciated by us and we look forward to continuing to work and partner with the state government to build a brighter future for our state. Once again, thank you for your visit and your tireless efforts to serve our great state. Indeed you have demonstrated in practical terms that ‘Our tomorrow is here’ it is therefore in history that you are the first serving governor to ever visit the college since it’s inception in 1948. Long live His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah!!! Long live Government Technical College Enugu!!! Long live Enugu state.”
Sir. Isife also took time to appreciate the Honourable Commissioner for Education Professor Ndubueze Mbah and others such as the ENSUBEB Chairman who is the immediate past Board Chairman of STVSMB Dr G.O.C Ajah mni, the Head of Board /Director Administration Hon Obiora Brown Nwoga and other Government Officials who joined governor Mbah for the August visit.
He also thanked the Honourable Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Ngozi Enih for her visit in commemoration of the day of the Boy child.
