Few hours after the organised Labour called of their indefinite strike action, the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC, has commenced phased restoration of supply in the region.

Recall that the organised labour made up of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) had during the enforcement of the indefinite strike, action, forced the staff of the Transmission Company of Nigeria out of their of their offices forcing the entire nation into darkness.

Speaking to our correspondent, the head of communication of EEDC, Mr. Emeka Ezeh said “with the calling off of the industrial action by the organised labour, restoration of supply to customers has since commenced.

“The following TCN stations within EEDC network have picked load and supply has been restored to customers. The TCN stations and their time of restoration are as follows:

“AWADA TCN RECEIVED SUPPLY AT 18:06 HOURS
GCM & NIBO: 18:06 HOURS.
AGU-AWKA: 18:54 HOURS.
NEW HAVEN: 20:38HOURS.
UGWUAJI: 21:27 HOURS.
OHIYA: 20:52 HOURS.
EGBU: 19:01 HOURS
NRU TCN (NSUKKA): 21:09 (BUT LOST SUPPLY AT 21:13 HOURS).
OJI RIVER TCN IS YET TO RECEIVE SUPPLY”
