Coalition made up of Civil Society Organizations, Nigerian Youth Stakeholders Forum, and the Association of All APC Support Groups have condemned the recent “unfounded accusations and malicious lies against the Hon. Minister of Women Affairs, Barr. Uju Ohanenye.
The coalition in a statement signed by it’s Director General, Mazi Dr. Ezenwa A A Onyirimba, said: “These attacks, driven by greed and vested interests, aim to undermine the Minister’s commendable efforts to ensure Nigerian funds and donations are utilized for the direct benefit of Nigerian citizens.”
Mazi Onyirimba maintained that the “Hon. Minister of Women Affairs has consistently demonstrated unwavering dedication to transparency and accountability, directing resources towards impactful initiatives that improve the lives of women and children across the nation. Her stance against corruption and financial misappropriation threatens those who seek to divert funds for personal gain.”
He added that their support for the minister is hinged in the point that: “The Minister has implemented rigorous measures to ensure that all funds are used responsibly and for their intended purposes, rejecting the misuse of resources through unnecessary consultancy fees or embezzlement.
“Under her leadership, the Ministry has launched numerous projects directly benefiting local communities, including healthcare, education, and economic empowerment programs.
“The Minister’s dedication to reform and good governance has faced resistance from those threatened by her mission to eradicate corruption.
“The coalition urges the public to recognize these attacks for what they are; a distraction from the positive changes being implemented. We commend the Hon. Minister for her integrity and resilience in the face of these challenges and call for continued support for her initiatives.
Speaking further, the Onyirimba who’s also the Director General, All Progressives Congress Youths and Students Council, said under the watch of Barr. Ohanenye, the ministry has embarked on the; “Expansion of healthcare services for women and children, ensuring better access to essential medical care.
“Development of educational initiatives aimed at empowering young girls and women with the skills and knowledge necessary for their advancement.
“Launching of programs that provide economic opportunities and financial independence for women, fostering community growth and development.”
“Conclusively, he said the “coalition felt the need to come together in one voice to say enough is enough and we remains steadfast in our support for the Hon. Minister and her efforts to create a better, more equitable Nigeria.
“We call on all Nigerians to stand with us in rejecting these baseless accusations and to focus on the substantial progress being made.”
