The ongoing discussions regarding the new minimum wage between the Federal Government and organised Labour are scheduled to conclude today.

Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress leaders are eagerly awaiting President Bola Tinubu’s response to their proposal of N250,000.

The labour leaders had set a Monday deadline for finalizing discussions on the new minimum wage.

The President of the NLC, Joe Ajaero, along with other senior union representatives, traveled abroad to attend a labor conference hosted by the International Labour Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.

The labour leaders will convene their National Executive Council meeting upon their return from Geneva to make a decision regarding the strike, taking into account the input from the president.
