President Bola Tinubu’s former campaign spokesman in the south east, Dr. Josef Onoh has chided former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for ‘sympathising’ with the President for tripping in his steps inside the parade vehicle at the 2024 Democracy Day celebration in Eagle square, Abuja.
Atiku had said, “I sincerely sympathise with President Bola Tinubu over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day. I do hope that all is well with him.”
The Presidency had clarified that the President missed his step while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped, noting that it was a mild misstep which he immediately went on with the ceremonial rounds without issues.
But Onoh picked holes in Atiku’s satiric comment and told Atiku that it does not matter how one falls but how he picks up after the fail, and mocked Atiku for his 2023 electoral fall in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Onoh in his verified X handle, @JosefOnoh, said, “Not how we fall that counts, but how we stand. Like every human alive we all have triped and had a fall once in a while, some humourous some fatal. World leaders are not immune too. Still standing strong. We rather keep standing than collapse like the PDP.”
