The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Dr. Duke Okoro, on Saturday 15th June 2024, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Chief Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, a renowned legal icon and statesman.

Dr. Okoro, on behalf of his family , visited the Gbagi family in their home in Oginibo, Delta State, to offer his heartfelt condolences on the passing of the late legal luminary.

Dr. Okoro described Chief Barr. Gbagi as a great man whose contributions to the legal profession and the nation will never be forgotten.

He added that, Late Chief Kenneth Gbagi was a great Philanthropist who was very Industrious and one of the greatest in Urhobo Land and will be greatly missed.

He therefore urged the Family to be united and live in peace while thanking Chief Hope Gbagi the Deceased elder brother for the great role he Is playing to ensure Unity amongst the family.

He prayed for the repose of his soul and asked God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss and enjoined the family to keep up with the legacies of excellence, service delivery and humanity for which the late silk was known for.

The family, in their response, appreciated the Rector’s gesture, describing it as a great show of solidarity and support in their time of grief.

Chief Hope Gbagi, Who spoke on behalf of the family, said “the visit is a testament to the high esteem in which the late Chief Barr. Gbagi was held by the academic community and beyond.”

The visit witnessed other members of the family; The eldest son, Chief Emoubo Kenneth Gbagi, Chief Mrs Sherry Gbagi,Chief Steve Sokoh JP, Mrs Onanasan Gbagi Odedina, 3rd child, and Edeogheneseri Gbagi 2nd son.
