Leaders of the organised Labour have accepted the N70,000 minimum wage President Bola Tinubu approved for Nigerian workers.

The Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris told the State House correspondents that the president Tinubu announced the offer at a meeting with the labour leaders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, on Thursday.

Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) president, Comrade Joe Ajaero, confirmed to journalists that they have accepted the offer.

Accompanied by Comrade Festus Usifo, President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), and other Nigerian workers’ representatives present at the meeting, Ajaero stated that the unions had agreed to the offer due to additional incentives included.

He further explained that another compelling factor was the president’s commitment to a triennial review, contrasting with previous arrangements.
