A fatal motor accident has claimed one life while leaving two others unharmed opposite the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Command in Nteje, along the Awka-Onitsha expressway in Anambra State.
The crash, which occurred around 9:30 a.m., involved a Toyota Camry with registration number ABJ125JV and a Ford Explorer with registration number ZBL626RL.
A statement from RC Margaret B. Onabe, Acting Sector Public Education Officer, indicated that eyewitnesses reported the Camry driver lost control and crossed into the lane of the Ford Explorer on the single-carriageway before colliding.
One male adult was pronounced dead, while two other male adults were rescued unharmed.
Onabe expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and urged motorists to remain vigilant and maintain full concentration while driving.

“A driver identified as Chiweuba Evaristus Chidiebere was behind the wheel of a private Toyota Camry, registration number ABJ125JV, while the driver of the private Ford Explorer, registration number ZBL626RL, remains unidentified.
“Three male adults were involved in the crash; one adult was killed, and two were rescued uninjured.
“The FRSC rescue team from RS5.3 Nteje rushed the victim to Chira Hospital, where he was confirmed dead by a doctor, and his body was deposited at New Jerusalem Mortuary in Nteje.
“The team managed traffic and ensured that the obstruction caused by the crash was cleared,” statement by Onabe said.
