The suspended Commissioner for Health in Abia State, Dr. Ngozi Okoronkwo, has officially resigned from her position. She submitted her resignation letter to the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, marking the end of her tenure in the state’s health ministry.
Governor Otti, in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ctz. Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, confirmed the acceptance of Dr. Okoronkwo’s resignation. The Governor expressed gratitude for her service and acknowledged her contributions to the state’s health sector over the past year.
“We appreciate Dr. Okoronkwo’s commitment and noteworthy achievements in repositioning the health sector for better service delivery,” Governor Otti stated. “We wish her well in her future endeavors.”
Dr. Ngozi Okoronkwo’s tenure was marked by several key initiatives aimed at improving healthcare services in Abia State. Under her leadership, the health sector saw advancements in medical infrastructure, enhanced healthcare delivery systems, and increased accessibility to medical services for residents.
