Aribemchukwu, the daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, has been killed.

The deceased, better known as Chuchu, was reportedly murdered in her Parkview Estate residence in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State on Wednesday morning.

According to The PUNCH, a family source who wished to remain anonymous due to the family’s distressing circumstances stated that she was killed the previous night, and her body was discovered outside the gate of her residence that morning.

“It appears that new household staff might have been responsible and tried to stage the scene to suggest she was outside when it happened.

“There are signs of an attempt to clean up the blood inside the house and in the compound. This was clearly the work of someone familiar with the household. We note that these staff members were newly employed less than a month ago, and she was alone in the house with them.

“We all need to be extremely cautious, especially with new hires,” he added.

The newspaper confirmed the tragic incident through the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.

Hundeyin stated that the body has been recovered, and three suspects have been arrested in connection with her death.

He emphasized that the three individuals arrested in relation to Aribemchukwu’s murder were her domestic staff.

“Our officers have arrested three people in connection with the murder of the daughter of Justice Ajumogobia at her residence in Parkview Estate. One is a driver, and the other two are maids.

“We are investigating the matter further and will keep the public informed of our findings,” he said.

Until her untimely death, the late Aribemchukwu was a doctor and had recently married.
