HRH Igwe Philimon Obeagu, the respected traditional ruler of the Mgbuji autonomous community (Eha-Amufu Ward 3) in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area, expressed his commitment to supporting the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah, over the weekend.

Igwe Obeagu made this declaration during a visit from the Like Minds Initiative, which is actively promoting a message of good governance in rural communities.

The traditional ruler praised Governor Mbah’s exemplary leadership, steadfast dedication to good governance, and notable accomplishments thus far.

He commended the Governor’s inclusive approach, ensuring that the projects initiated under his administration have positively impacted the people of Isi-Uzo, thereby fostering regional development.

In his address, Nnamani Nicholas Topman, the convener of the Like Minds Initiative, stated that they are on a “noble mission to familiarize rural communities with the transformative governance of Peter Ndubisi Mbah, highlighting his achievements across various sectors.

“The tour, which began on July 20, 2024, includes visits to all 11 wards within the Isi-Uzo Local Government Area.

“The words of HRH Igwe Philimon Obeagu stand as a powerful testament to the transformative effects of good governance on rural communities, symbolizing a shared vision for progress and prosperity under Governor Mbah’s leadership,” said Mr. Nnamani.

He added that the visit provided a valuable opportunity to witness firsthand the acceptance and popularity of Governor Mbah, in stark contrast to the cynicism expressed by a select few on social media.

“We observed the widespread recognition of Governor Peter Mbah’s commendable performance. This expression of support is especially meaningful given the political context of the area, as the Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate originates from this very community.

“The prevailing spirit of unity and collaboration emphasizes our collective determination to uplift the community under the capable leadership of Governor Peter Ndubisi Mbah.”
