Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd. is partnering with the federal government to roll out locally assembled compressed natural gas vehicles in Nigeria.

Innocent Chukwuma, Innoson’s CEO, disclosed this while addressing State House correspondents after a visit to President Bola Tinubu on Thursday in Abuja.

He stated that the partnership focuses on CNG vehicles, which his company began producing about two years ago. He assured that in a short time, CNG-powered Innoson vehicles would be seen across the country.

“I was the first to start it in Nigeria. My visit today is regarding CNG vehicles; I have discussed it with them, and soon the masses will see CNG buses on the roads. The government’s initiative on CNG is the best idea for this country because there are many benefits, which is why I established the factory to produce CNG vehicles here,” said Mr. Chukwuma.

He explained that he began producing CNG vehicles before the government embraced the idea, and those who have used CNG vehicles would agree it is the way forward for the nation.

Mr. Chukwuma also visited the president to offer his encouragement.

“People must be patient. We will see the brighter side of Nigeria. Let everybody support him; we will witness a better Nigeria under Tinubu. So, they should give him a chance; everything will be okay. He wants the best for this country. I encourage everyone to be patient and refrain from destroying public infrastructure,” he said.
