Amid the turmoil shaking the All Progressives Congress in Enugu State, the Ezeagu local government area’s chapter of the APC remains undeterred.
Instead of succumbing to distractions, they are doubling down on their commitment to reach out to members who feel neglected and to reinforce their organizational structures in all 20 wards of Ezeagu.
In a meeting held on August 8, 2024, the Ezeagu chapter outlined a proactive approach to confront the challenges of factionalism and its impact on member engagement.
The resolutions, signed by their leader, Chief Obrien Ofordu, reflect a unanimous determination among attendees to foster unity and collective action. With Local Government Chairman Mr. Frank Onuora at the helm, they emphasized the urgent need to prevent further divisions and retain their membership.
Chief Ofordu articulated the meeting’s resolutions, stating their commitment to empower the party’s apparatus to cultivate a robust 28-member structure while promoting stakeholder engagement. They aim to draft a cohesive strategy that nurtures fellowship among members and ensures equal participation for all.
Under the guidance of Chief Uche Nnaji, the Federal Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, and collaborating with key figures like Chief Emma Eneukwu, the Deputy National Chairman South, and State Chairman Mr. Ugochukwu Agbala, the Ezeagu APC is poised to emerge stronger and more united than ever.
