The International Human Rights Observatory (IHRO) has bestowed the illustrious Global Ambassador Award upon Chief Aloysius Chidozie Ogbonna Jnr, the Igwe-elect of the Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom in Enugu State.

His wife, Lolo Adaeze Ogbonna (Ọdiụkọnamba), was equally honored with the Global Ambassador Award for Women Empowerment, a tribute to her relentless passion for uplifting women and championing their development.

The recognition came at the recommendation of Chief Amechi Okolie, the Chief Coordinator of IHRO in Africa, who lauded their remarkable contributions to human capital development. Following a meticulous evaluation of their efforts, IHRO agreed, eager to spotlight their transformative work.

During an impactful award ceremony held in the heart of the Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom, the Global Chairperson of IHRO, Her Excellency, Dr. Madhavi Jupaka, praised Chief Ogbonna’s philanthropic endeavors that have notably enriched countless lives. “Our organization is committed to the advancement and safekeeping of human rights worldwide,” she stated.

“After thoroughly reviewing the recommendation from our Africa Chief Coordinator, we are proud to celebrate Chief Ogbonna’s accomplishments. IHRO will stand by you, providing the needed support to ensure your continued success,” Dr. Jupaka affirmed.

Moreover, she urged other Nigerian leaders to take a page from the Ogbonnas’ book, declaring, “Their unwavering commitment to human capital development is commendable. May this award ignite a spark in others to embark on similar journeys.”

A visibly moved Chief Ogbonna responded with heartfelt gratitude for the honor, reflecting on the profound responsibility it represents.
