A joint operation led by security forces has successfully rescued a kidnap victim in the heart of Umuduru, Ihiala, Anambra State.
On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, a specially assembled team of police, military personnel, and members of the Anambra Vigilante Group stormed the notorious hideout of the criminals.
According to a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, this triumphant mission was made possible by the recent arrest of a suspect (name withheld), who, “under pressure, revealed vital information about a notorious kidnapping gang that has been preying on unsuspecting victims in the region.
“The rescued victim has been debriefed and released to the family, while Operations are still ongoing.
“Further development shall be communicated, please,” the terse statement made available to newsmen reads.
