On Wednesday, Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President, received a group of distinguished guests at his Asokoro home in Abuja.
The event was a formal proposal for Kashim Imam’s family to marry his daughter, Hafsat Atiku Abubakar.
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai headed the Kashim Imam delegation.
Additional attendees are National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, former governors Sule Lamido from Jigawa State, and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal from Sokoto State, along with others.
AbdulRasheed Shehu, the Special Assistant for Broadcast Media to the former vice president, remarked that the small gathering reflected the high regard people have for His Excellency Atiku Abubakar and underscored the importance of the event.
