The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the safe rescue of all 20 medical students and a house officer who were abducted in Otukpo LGA eight days ago.
State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Anene, stated, “Kidnap victims rescued. Details will be released tomorrow morning, please,” according to a report by AIT.
This comes barely 2 days after the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, deployed a Tactical Squad for the rescue operation.
