So many commuters have been left stranded due to the collapse of the bridge linking the eastern part of the country to the Northeast region.
The bridge, known as the Namnnai Bridge, is located along the Jalingo-Wukari road in Taraba State and collapsed on Friday, August 23, following a heavy downpour.
This caused flooding along the road, restricting vehicular movement and forcing motorists traveling to Wukari, Abuja, Benue State, and the Eastern region to divert through Takum and Jos.
The Namnnai Bridge, built many years ago, had previously developed cracks, but repairs had been carried out by the Federal Government over the years.
