A pall of anxiety has fallen over the Ajiran community in the Agungi Area of Lekki, Lagos State, following the brutal slaying of Demola, the first son of Ojomu of Ajiran land, Tijani Akinloye.

Eyewitnesses report that gunmen mercilessly shot and butchered him, igniting fear and uncertainty throughout the neighborhood.

A source, who wished to remain anonymous due to the sensitivity of the situation, revealed that the horrific assassination unfolded on Monday along Chevron Drive, just steps away from Ebeano Supermarket.

A notice from the management of a local estate confirmed the tragic event while urgently advising residents to steer clear of Chevron, Agungi, and Ajiran areas.

The statement read, “We regret to inform you that the Ajiran king’s son was assassinated today along Chevron Drive (near Ebeano Supermarket). We implore all residents to avoid these areas for their safety.”

When reached for comment, Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, expressed his lack of information regarding the incident but assured that he would provide updates once he is briefed.

“I am currently unaware of the details but will reach out as soon as I’m informed,” he stated.
