Ahmed Ali Ahmed, the esteemed Commissioner for Finance in Borno State, has been found dead.
Sources close to the late commissioner revealed that Ahmed passed away in his room on the morning of Monday, August 26, 2024, as reported by Daily Trust.
Details surrounding his unsettling demise remain sparse, but alarm bells were raised when he failed to emerge at his usual time. Concern grew as family members resorted to forcing the door open, only to uncover the tragedy within—his lifeless body lying in stillness.
An insider shared the somber news: “Oga is no more; he died early this morning.”
The heartbreaking confirmation came from his colleague, Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, Usman Tar, who issued a statement in Maiduguri. He announced that Ahmed will be laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
The funeral has been scheduled for 5:00 PM at the commissioner’s family home on Damboa Road, behind Indimi’s residence.
