An extraordinary act of integrity has emerged from Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, where Auwal Dankode, a diligent employee of the Nigeria Aviation Handling Company, discovered $10,000; approximately N16 million while cleaning an aircraft.

Instead of pocketing the cash, Auwal promptly alerted the airline’s manager, sparking an immediate search to reunite the money with its rightful owner.

Zagazola Makaman, a respected security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, highlighted Auwal’s character in a post on the X platform, praising him as a man of unwavering integrity and a deep fear of God. “His selfless act underscores the profound impact that even the smallest acts of kindness can wield in our communities.”

As investigations continue to track down the money’s owner, social media users have been quick to acknowledge Auwal’s honesty.

One user, @SuperSlimEli, tweeted, “I respect people like this. We still have good individuals in this country; they must be protected at all costs.”

Echoing this sentiment, Yaya Aba, known as @Maxajee, remarked, “He’s God-fearing… Most people would have kept silent and spent the money. Auwal Dankode’s story serves as a testament to the potential for goodness that exists in the fabric of our society.”
