In a celebration of community pride, Hon. Ogbuefi Sunday Mbah (SMC), an aspiring Igweship leader for Ishienu Amofu Nkerefi Community in the Nkanu East Council area of Enugu State, has warmly congratulated Governor Peter Mbah on the appointment of Barrister Chimaobi Okorie as the new state Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development.

In a heartfelt statement to newsmen in Enugu on Wednesday, Mbah praised the governor, asserting that “the appointment of a son of Nkerefi to serve in the state executive council is more than just a gesture; it’s a reaffirmation of the governor’s commitment to our community.”

Affectionately known as Ezeudo na Nkerefi, he pledged “the unwavering support of Ndi Nkerefi for the governor, his administration, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), now and always.”

He extended his congratulations to the new commissioner, expressing strong confidence in Okorie’s ability to enhance the Ministry and advance the ‘Tomorrow is Here’ vision set forth by Governor Mbah.

“This appointment is a monumental gift to our community,” Mbah declared. “Governor Mbah has consistently been a friend and advocate for us, and this confirmation of his dedication is deeply appreciated. We extend our heartfelt thanks, and we pledge our continuous support for you and your government.”

Addressing the new commissioner, Mbah added, “My brother Chima, words cannot capture our joy over your appointment. Truly, the Lord has remembered us through you. We are confident you will elevate Nkerefi through your dedicated service to the State. With your leadership, we foresee a transformed Nkerefi, reflective of the broader aspirations for Enugu State under Governor Peter Mbah’s ‘Tomorrow is Here’ project.”
