Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who represents Abia North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has announced the reconstruction of nine additional classroom blocks in Arochukwu Local Government Area, bringing the total number of renovated schools to 19.

The lawmaker made this announcement in a statement issued by his media office, signed by George Maduka, in Abuja on Monday.

In the statement, Senator Kalu expressed his unwavering commitment to Arochukwu Local Government Area and to providing quality education in public schools throughout the Abia North Senatorial District. He noted that the renovations would significantly improve the learning environment for students in his constituency. With these additional renovations, Arochukwu now boasts the highest number of renovated schools among the 59 schools in Abia North.

Once completed, the newly refurbished classroom blocks will create an inspiring and conducive learning environment, enhancing the academic experience for both students and teachers.

The projects can be summarized as follows:

1. Ndi Emene Community Primary School: Reconstruction of classrooms for a safe and conducive learning environment.

2. Amaogbo Community Primary School: Renovations of classrooms, a library, and an office to enhance the overall learning experience.

3. Okeake Central Primary School: Renovations of classrooms, a library, and an office to improve infrastructure and provide a better learning space.

4. Amuri Community Primary School: Renovation of three classrooms to create a safe and conducive learning environment.

5. Obinkita Central Primary School: Renovation of three classrooms to enhance the overall learning experience.

6. Aggrey Ibom Primary School: Renovation of two classrooms and one store to improve infrastructure.

7. Ututu Central Primary School: Renovation of three classrooms and two offices for enhanced learning and administrative facilities.

8. Umuzombo Community Primary School, Ihechiowa: Renovation of four classrooms to expand capacity and improve the learning environment.

9. Okpo Primary School: Renovation of two classrooms, one office, and one store to enhance infrastructure and provide essential facilities.

“These comprehensive projects demonstrate Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s strong commitment to investing in education and providing students with the resources they need to succeed,” the statement concluded.
