Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has expressed confidence in winning the 2027 presidential election.

NAN reported that the former governor of Kano stated the NNPP is prepared to take over the presidency and other positions nationwide in 2027.

Kwankwaso, who was the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, made these remarks during the inauguration of the NNPP Secretariat in Katsina on Saturday.

He was in Katsina to offer condolences to the Yar’Adua family following the death of their matriarch, Hajiya Dada.

According to him, the party is on track for success in the 2027 general elections.

“I want to remind you that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is already dead. We were once a part of that party, but since they have strayed from their principles, we decided to leave,” he said.

The Kwankwasiyya leader urged Nigerians, particularly women and youth, not to be swayed by “spaghetti or money” during the upcoming elections.

He also called on the party’s leaders to recommit to the party’s success both in the state and nationwide, while praising them and other stakeholders for renovating the secretariat.

Armaya’u Abdulkadir, the NNPP Chairman in Katsina State, stated that the party is working diligently to educate voters about its new logo.

He explained that the logo symbolizes education for all, which is a key concern of the Kwankwasiyya leader.

He added, “There is a need for the party to engage in grassroots sensitization to inform members about the significance of the new logo.”
