In preparation for the September 21st Local Government elections in Enugu State, Dr. Ibenaku Onoh, the Chairmanship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Enugu North Local Government Area, has appointed and inaugurated Hon. Ernest Onuoha, the Local Government Party Chairman, as the Director General of the PDP Chairmanship Campaign Council.
Also, all the ward chairmen across the 13 political wards in the area were inaugurated as campaign coordinators for their respective wards.
During the inauguration ceremony held at the Party’s Local Government Office in China Town, Enugu, Dr. Onoh urged all party leaders to mobilize diligently in their wards to secure victory for the party at every level.
He expressed confidence that with Hon. Onuoha leading the campaign council, supported by dedicated ward chairmen and party stakeholders, the PDP is primed for success in the upcoming local government elections.
Dr. Onoh highlighted the crucial role of grassroots mobilization, encouraging all council members to actively engage voters and showcase the party’s achievements under the leadership of our esteemed Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
He reiterated that party unity is essential for success, stating, “We must leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of victory. The people of Enugu North Municipal Council deserve capable and transparent leadership, and I firmly believe that the PDP is the party ready to deliver that.”
Dr. Ibenaku Onoh also took a moment to commend Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for his exemplary infrastructural developments across Enugu, particularly for the numerous projects initiated in Enugu North.
He pointed out significant projects, including the international conference center, completed urban roads, the construction of the Presidential Hotel, a new 5-star hotel, upgraded water infrastructure, a recently awarded world-class hospital, and ongoing beautification efforts around roundabouts, all geared towards revitalizing Enugu urban. Dr. Onoh praised the Governor for his transparent and prudent management of the state’s resources, asserting that these initiatives result from his strategic vision and effective allocation of limited funds.
In response to his appointment, Hon. Ernest Onuoha expressed gratitude to Dr. Onoh and the party for their confidence in him, pledging to lead a dynamic and inclusive campaign that will galvanize overwhelming support for the PDP.
He reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with all party stakeholders and members to ensure that the party’s message resonates strongly with the people of Enugu Municipal Council.
