Senator Osita Ngwu has expressed his enthusiasm for the manifesto of Hon. Dr. Nnamdi Odo, the Peoples’ Democratic Party’s Councillorship Candidate for the Obollo Afor ward in the upcoming local government election in Enugu State.
Hon. Odo unveiled a manifesto titled “Redefining Grassroots Politics, my pact with Obollo Afor Ward,” outlining his goals for his second term as the representative of his ward.
In a post on his Facebook page, Senator Ngwu, who represents Enugu West Senatorial Zone, stated, “I have read this manifesto five times, and I am very impressed with this gentleman.”
The Minority Whip of the 10th Senate praised Hon. Odo’s careful choice of words, noting his consideration of what he can realistically achieve through phrases like “facilitate” and “work closely with.”
“He is precise about his ambitions and sets measurable objectives…”
“At one point, he highlighted his accomplishments from his first term and committed to doubling those achievements in his second term.
Ngwu remarked, “This reminds me of H.E. Gov. Peter Mbah’s statement of purpose—a document that is clear, direct, and full of hope. You can see the remarkable work the governor is doing, all stemming from his manifesto ‘statement of purpose.’ He came with a plan, and the results took only a few months to become evident.
“Performance is planned, not merely inherited,” he added.
He urged critics of the manifesto to reassess it and to evaluate their own councillors, questioning if they have developed a manifesto of their own.
“I’ve noticed some criticisms of this manifesto, but the young honourable knows exactly what he wants and understands how to achieve it. It is entirely feasible with the right collaboration.
“Share this document with your councillor if he lacks a manifesto.
“Dr. Nnamdi Odo Nniodo, I didn’t know you before now, but keep it up.”
