Dr. Orji Kalu, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatization and former Governor of Abia State, has congratulated the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him).
Kalu urged religious leaders to utilize their platforms to promote peace and unity among Nigerians, irrespective of ethnic, religious, or political differences. He emphasized that Nigeria’s diversity should be leveraged for growth and development.
In a statement, the former Governor encouraged the Muslim community to use this season to pray for leaders at all levels of government.
He stated, “I join our Muslim brothers and sisters in Nigeria and abroad in celebrating Eid-el-Maulud. It is a sacred time to commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed.
“I call on the Muslim ummah to uphold the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the exemplary qualities of the Holy Prophet Mohammed in their daily endeavours.”
The former Governor wished the Muslim community a spiritually fulfilling celebration.
