High Chief Dr Jerry Patrick Onuokaibe, Chief Executive Officer of First Choice Afro Villa Ltd and Mburubu Construction Company Ltd, has congratulated Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, the newly elected chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area in Enugu State, along with other successful PDP candidates, on their impressive victories in the recent local government elections.
Dr Onuokaibe shared his sentiments in a press statement released on Monday.
The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) announced the results of the local government council elections, which took place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, across all 17 local government councils and 260 political wards in the state.
In his statement, Dr. Onuokaibe praised Hon. Sydney Edeh’s win as a testament to the people’s desire for continuity in his commendable work. He also extended his congratulations to the 16 other PDP candidates who successfully secured chairmanship positions in their respective local government areas.
He commended ENSIEC for its transparent and credible election process, emphasizing that the commission’s commitment to democracy has bolstered grassroots governance in Enugu State.
Dr. Onuokaibe acknowledged the significant contribution of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in facilitating a peaceful and successful electoral process, highlighting the governor’s dedication to good governance and development as integral to the elections’ achievements.
The real estate mogul expressed optimism that the newly elected chairmen would collaborate effectively to implement meaningful projects that positively impact their communities.
