The National Ex Officio of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Princess Nneka Okoro, extends her heartfelt congratulations on the successful performance of the PDP in the recently concluded local government elections in Enugu State.
In her statement after the issuance of certificate of return to the elected Chairmen, Princess Okoro commended the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission, ENSIEC and it’s Chairman for the proper conduct of the she exercise.
She also applauded Governor Peter Mbah for overseeing a transparent and orderly electoral process that allowed the voices of the people to be heard and respected. She emphasized the importance of conducting free and fair elections as a cornerstone of democracy, and praised the efforts made by the state government to ensure the integrity of the election.
Furthermore, Hon. Okoro congratulated the 17 newly elected local government chairmen, whose leadership she said, will undoubtedly contribute to the development and progress of their respective constituencies. She expressed particular pride in the election of Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu as the chairman of Uzo Uwani Local Government Area.
“I extend my best wishes to Barr. Ezugwu as he embarks on this important journey of service to our community. I pray for his success and the prosperity of Uzo Uwani under his leadership,” Hon. Okoro stated.
