At least 20 individuals, including several prominent leaders, were killed during a violent clash between rival terrorist groups in Katsina State.

The confrontation, which erupted early Wednesday morning, was reportedly part of a territorial dispute in the Dan-Ali community of the Dan-Musa local government area.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed details of the conflict in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating that the clash occurred between the gangs of Mai Nore and Buzaro.

He noted, “This morning, a fierce battle erupted between Mai Nore’s gang and the Buzaro group in the Dan-Ali area. According to intelligence sources, the clash resulted in significant casualties, with over 20 bodies discovered at the scene.”

Eyewitnesses described the conflict as intense, with prolonged gunfire echoing throughout the community.

Many bandits were also reported to have sustained injuries during the confrontation.
