Segun Sowunmi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, has expressed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is confused on how to handle the economy of Nigeria
Sowunmi made this assertion in an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today while discussing the government’s difficult economic decisions.
He stated, “I am optimistic, and I tell those who ask me if Tinubu can figure this out that I wonder who else could. First, I believe he is confused. Second, if he is smiling at Mele Kyari, there needs to be an explanation.
“I don’t understand what the CBN is doing with the value of the currency. Are they suggesting that by floating the currency, Nigeria’s currency will become worthless?
“What exactly determines the pricing of petrol when we refine it within our own borders?
“I’ve been researching various strategies for addressing this pricing issue, and my study is ongoing. Once I conclude my research, I will present potential solutions.”
In response, the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, asserted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would demonstrate his commitment to reform.
Morka pointed out that President Buhari spent eight years addressing the fallout from the PDP’s sixteen-year tenure.
He stated, “This president will not only tackle the challenges but will also prove he means business by delivering substantial improvements in the long run and in a sustainable manner.”
