In commemoration of this years’ Teachers’ Day celebration, the Chairman of  Enugu Science Technical and Vocational Schools Management Board (STVSMB), Dr. Amaka Ngene has commended teachers in the State for their “dedication to shaping the future of the future generations”.

In a statement made available to JOURNALIST101, Dr. Ngene said this year’s theme, “Valuing Teachers’ Voices: Towards a New Social Contract for Education,” emphasizes the essential role of your insights and contributions in advancing education.

She assured the teachers under the Board that Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah is committed to advancing the teaching profession through the following ways;

Increased Funding: A commitment to enhance resources for educational materials and infrastructure in technical schools.

Professional Development:  Regular training programs to equip you with innovative teaching methods for diverse learners.

Digital Integration: Partnerships with technology firms to incorporate digital tools and online platforms for interactive student engagement.

Mentorship Programs: Initiatives to support both novice and experienced teachers, fostering collaboration and shared knowledge.

Collaboration Pursuing partnerships with educational institutions to share resources and best practices.

Recognition and Rewards Establishing incentives and recognition programs to honor outstanding teaching performance.

Dr. Ngene urged the teachers to “engage with these initiatives, embrace digital technologies and best practices that enrich your teaching and benefit your students.

“Together, let us work towards a new social contract for education that values and empowers teachers as the backbone of our educational system.”
