Momodu Reveals Wike’s 2027 Aspirations, Discusses Connection to Tinubu’s Re-election Decision

Dele Momodu, a former presidential candidate and prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has unveiled Nyesom Wike’s underlying motives.

Momodu claims that Wike and his faction are orchestrating turmoil within the PDP, seeking to benefit from President Bola Tinubu’s potential exit from the 2027 presidential race.

During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday evening, Momodu alleged that Wike’s camp has openly bragged about supporting Tinubu in 2023 and intends to do so again in 2027.

Their ultimate aim, according to Momodu, is to maintain dominance over the PDP, convinced that they stand no chance of securing a platform within the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Momodu remarked, “They’re hoping that, at some point, Tinubu will decide against running in 2027, which would allow them to seize control of the PDP. They know the APC will never welcome them after they’ve undermined their own party. Everyone understands that.”

Wike, who currently serves as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory in the APC-led administration, has pledged to remain loyal to the PDP.
